01The making of a button

Every step, in our own hands.

  1. Cut bone washers ready for turning

    01

    Washer cutting

The raw material is cut into washers, the blanks every button starts from: corozo, horn, bone, shell, wood and coconut are sliced, while polyester washers are produced from resin.

  2. A turning machine cutting a button profile

    02

    Turning

Each washer is turned to its profile and face on our turning machines.

  3. Urea buttons in many colours

    03

    Dyeing

Colour matched to Pantone or TCX. For corozo, eco-friendly dyes and a colour-fixing process give high resistance to washing and steam.

  4. Polished buttons on a perforated tray

    04

    Polishing

Polishing and finishing bring out the surface: the grain of corozo, the lustre of shell, the depth of horn.

  5. A laser beam over buttons on a perforated tray

    05

    Laser and burning

Laser engraving and burned effects add patterns, textures and logos, especially on horn, bone and wood.

  6. An automated storage system with boxes of buttons

    06

    Quality control and stock

In-process and final checks cover size, colour and durability, and compliance with standards is verified before packing.

02Your brand on the button

Laser, emboss, deboss or fill.

We integrate customers’ logos into the button itself: laser engraving, emboss and deboss, or filling. Mould cost and timing depend on the design; we confirm both with the sample.
